There is no greater satisfaction than to care for others, and our Foot Health
Practitioner course gives you the opportunity to accomplish this in your own
practice. The human foot is one of the most complex and neglected of body parts.
Every step we take places 2.5 times our body weight on the 26 bones that make
up each foot, and it has been estimated that we walk 3 times around the planet in
a lifetime. The foot is highly sensitive, and like any machine part, suffers wear or
damage when injured or stressed beyond its capability.
About our Foot Health Practitioner Course
This course is made up of twelve lessons of theory training, which you complete
from the comfort of your own home, and 11 days practical training, which is
completed at one of our state-of-the-art Foot Health Training Centres in either
Bude, Cornwall or Edgbaston, Birmingham.
We believe that students benefit more from near personal tuition. That is why classes are small. This ensures that your tutor can “get to know
you”, can give you individual attention and instruction, and is available to answer
any questions you may have.
If you would prefer to study the theory element of the course plus one week’s
practical training, please click here.

Improving Learning Skills Course
Studying is more than gathering information and reproducing it in assessment tasks such as essays and examinations. Studying involves
knowing how to approach a problem, analysing the problem, identifying what you already know, deciding how to gather more information,
and much more. This section will help you gain and improve your skills in studying.
Studying is an active process. Open learning materials enable adult learners to take responsibility for their own learning. This course has

• what interests you
• how to use your knowledge to enhance your critical awareness.

Job Interview Skills Course
Getting the job you want is not about following rules or giving the ‘right’ interview answer. It is about presenting yourself in the most
authentic way that takes care of you and the interviewers at the same time. So many people throw their chances away: they do not take
enough care and interview preparation time so that the whole process is enjoyable, stimulating and informative for both parties. This course
aims to show you how.
The Effective Learner Course
This course will consider the importance of study skills and how we can identify and enhance our current skill set. We will then take a closer
look at different learning styles and how knowledge of our own preferences in this area can make our learning more effective. Finally we will
look at some basic time management techniques to enable you to plan and organise your studies and stay motivated.
As we impose no time limits on you to complete your course, we also provide unlimited tutor support throughout the duration of your
course. Our team of dedicated, professional tutors have a wide variety of experience and expertise, are highly knowledgeable in their
respective fields, and are trained to provide high-quality distance learning support.
Once enrolled, you will be assigned a named tutor who will offer help and guidance through your assignments, whenever needed. Your tutor
will mark your submissions and assess your progress, providing you constructive and supportive feedback, and is on hand to answer any
questions you may have throughout your course. Your tutor is part of a team of specialist tutors, so you can be sure you will always receive
support whenever you need it. Our tutors mark assignments within 3-4 working days and finals within 10 working days.
Should you need assistance from your tutor at any point throughout your course, the best way to reach her/him is by e-mail and your query
will promptly be answered within 72 hours. Our tutorial department can also be reached by post, or by phone during normal working hours.
